I came home today to see the surest sign of our economic crises taped to my door:
Solicitation
Obviously things are so hard right now that local businesses have resorted to hiring illiterate children to tape fliers to our doors. This particular paper was taped right over our NO SOLICITING sign.
It always makes me laugh.

Seriously, what do they teach kids nowadays? :-)
ReplyDeleteI would tend to think it more an exercise in rudeness than illiteracy. They're probably paid by the flier and could care less about your preferences.
ReplyDeleteCERTAINLY no caller to my home ever bothered checking the do-not-call list. I don't care that their stupid corrupt charity doesn't have to follow the rules... courtesy dictates that if one's number is on the list, it, like, means that you don't want phone calls from yahoos?
But they don't care. It's all about them.
HA! What verification do we have that it was actually an illiterate child solicitor?
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm???
LOLOL
That's funny - sort of. Praying for your children.
ReplyDeleteWe get things taped to our door a couple times a month - always gutter cleaning and we actually use it once a year since we're required to per our lease - and various pizza flyers stuck in our door handle thingy. That's happened ever since we moved here. But we don't have a no soliciting sign. That's just classic. I mean I am sure you really want to use their duct cleaning service because not only are they apparently rude, but they also think having a creepy looking bug on their flyer is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteTooo funny! Just what I needed to read tonight :-)
