Fishy Government

So, I was pointed to this fishy post about Obama's Health Insurance Reform.

Which inspired me to make this:

flag@whitehouse.gov
Uncle Sam want YOU to report fishy sites

Feel free to copy the image all you want and pass it around (click it for a larger version). We need to get the word out before more "disinformation about health insurance reform" is spread around the interwebs without the government's knowledge!

Click here to report a site!

  1. Luke, I had several things to say on this, though I do have to wonder aloud if they can jail all of us if we blogged "national healthcare equals socialism and rationing" all at once just for fun.

Ok, yeah, they probably can. It's covered under the stimulus bill. :]

  2. How funny, I just got an email from one of my yahoo groups that talked about this exact thing. Is this crazy or what?

  3. I'm not a fan of Obama but most disturbing to me is this concept of reporting people to the government. Where does it stop? Reporting homeschoolers? Report anyone who disagrees with Obama? Report Christians?

  4. I'll admit it. I did my patriotic duty. I reported something fishy I found on-line about health care reform. I asked them to please look into it ASAP because it really truly can't be for real. See, I found it doing a simple search for HR 3200 on Thomas on the LOC.gov site. I mean if anything is fishy, it's got to be this http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.3200:

(Oh, I am in SO much trouble...)

Okay big brother hates disagreement and wants us to rat out anyone who disagrees with this socialist health care plan. I decided to report myself. I think we should flood their site with emails telling them what we think of the plan. Who would have ever thought we would see such as this in the United States!!

Here's how to automatically send a growing daily stream of junk email to flag@whitehouse.gov:

    1. Set up a gmail account (mail.google.com) just for this purpose.

    2. Sign up for a bunch of free, email-generating web services (eg. Google Alerts) using the gmail account.

    3. Adjust your gmail settings: under "Settings->Forwarding and POP/IMAP", select “Forward a copy of incoming mail to”, then fill in flag@whitehouse.gov

    4. Tell your friends how they too can fight against intimidation and abuse of power.

It's time to hit back, ten times as hard. Every day.

  7. I thought the whole thing was a hoax at first. I was very surprised when I saw on the website that it was for real!

Exactly why would they need us to send them reports of false information? Can't they find that on their own? Doesn't sound good to me.

  8. This is crazy! Of all the things that should be reported (such as child pornography and NAMBLA) they focus on healthcare disagreements!

  9. That's funny! Before they shut down the site, my brother turned in the President for asking that people turn in a "red list" so to speak. He said it was a little too reminicent of the '50's for him.
