I171H

***ADOPTION UPDATE***

We got our I171H today!

I171H

So, now we get to send 18 documents to Washington, and after that we have the option of going to Kyrgyzstan to meet the kids. Unfortunately, in Washington you pay by the document, so, if my mental math is correct, we need to sign a couple dozen checks for a grand total of $2,164.

Yep, that's for the "processing" and courier fees to send 18 pieces of paper--well, okay, to be fair some of the documents are many more than a single sheet--back to the government that just sent them to us.

It's a streamlined process going on here.

Great news! I'll bet you are sooo excited! Just remember, its all God's money anyway and He can move it all around to do as He wills. Awesome! Thank you for your prayers, I really do appreciate them!

Father God, I just thank you for Luke and his wife's hearts for these kiddos. I ask that you provide the money necessary to pay the fees and beyond. Father, I ask that this whole process work out for your glory and honor and that, if it is your perfect will, you would break down all the barriers from here on out and put these kids with their parents as soon as may be. Thank you, Lord, for your unfailing love and blessings! Praise you! In Jesus' precious name, Amen.

I would consider adhering that ultra-important piece of paper to a non-removable place on your body...

ya know...like ur forehead.

(cuz we've thought about doing that same thing...that paper is GOLD baby!!!)

Enjoy the journey best you can....

I am so happy to see your news! Praying that God's provision for the $$ is in place, and that you and your wife are able to celebrate His plan for your family this upcoming Thanksgiving knowing that it won't be long until you're joined by the blessings He has planned in advance for you!

Hi there, I'm the neurotic blogger who was wondering what was in the catalog picture. :) Anyway, I clicked over to your blog and am so excited that you're in the process of adopting! We have four kids, including twin sons from Ethiopia. So this is obviously something close to my heart. Congratulations!

Just saw your prayer request over at Kimmie's and I'll be praying for wisdom as you go step by step in this decision making process! And for the finances to do so!

Blessings,

I got your blog from Mrs. C and what a joy. 33 years ago we adopted a son he was almost 4. We were suppose to get his older brother and sister, but the abuse was so bad that one set of parents the State of Alabama came to the conclusion that one set wouldn't be the best interest of the child. We went through a lot of teaching words and other things, but it was a blessing because we wanted children so badly. I will be praying for you guys and I am sorry it is so involved and takes so long. God bless you and your future family.
Hugs

I was praying for your family last night and the Lord gave me Isaiah 61:3:
"...and provide for those who grieve in Zion (insert Kyrgyzstan)-to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor."

WOW...what a great word for the Lord's plans for your children!
