Fail Gov

...or: How the Government Got a Reality Check

So buried deep within a blog post, the government has given us the closest thing to an apology for bad form as we're going to get.

The upside?

They are now a little clearer as to what they are looking for as far as contacting them about Health Reform is concerned, and you get another cool graphic from me:

"An ironic development is that the launch of an online program meant to provide facts about health insurance reform has itself become the target of fear-mongering and online rumors that are the tactics of choice for the defenders of the status quo."

It's "ironic?" And people who don't want to "reform" things their way are into the "status quo" and enjoy "fear-mongering?"

That's one crummmmmmy apology, Luke. I don't read it that way at all.

"It has come to our attention that some people may have been subscribed to our email lists without their knowledge –- likely as a result of efforts by outside groups of all political stripes -– and we regret any inconvenience caused by receiving an unexpected message. We’re certainly not interested in anyone receiving emails from the White House who don’t want them. That’s one reason why we have never -- and will never -- add names from a commercial or political list to the White House list." (http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/An-Update-on-Reality-Check/ 5th paragraph) "...who don't want them." I think somebody should have been homeschooled, at least they may have had a better understanding of grammar.

Dear Mr. Holzmann,

Thank you so much for your comment. I really appreciate you praying for me. I feel much better now.

I continue to hope and pray that your children will come home to you safely and soon!

In Christ alone,
Alyssa

I was amused when they closed it. I guess they had too many people turning themselves in.
